Ways of Doing: Prompts
Ways of Doing is a monthly creative challenge that you can take part in from the comfort of your own home! Each month, we’ll release a prompt for you to respond creatively to. You can paint, collage, doodle, write, photograph – whatever you are drawn to do! The idea is to celebrate the diversity of what being creative means. And we’ll also get that warm, fuzzy feeling that being part of a creative community can bring!
The inspiration word for March’s Ways of Doing challenge is…POSTAGE! Receiving post from friends and family through the letterbox is a joyful thing. It’s often deemed old fashioned nowadays, sometimes referred to as ‘snail mail’ because it’s not as instant or convenient as texts or emails, but those ways of communication really don’t beat the feeling of reading the words written by the people you love.
Your challenge is to creatively respond to the word in however way you are inspired to. You could collage, paint, bake, photograph, write, sketch, sing – your choice! Maybe you could also post your creation to someone to make their day!
Once you’ve created your response, share it on Instagram or email it to info@waysofseeing.art with image details and we’ll be sure to respond. We’ll also share highlights each month on here and on Instagram.
