About
Hi there, my name is Shelley and I live and work in beautiful Rye, East Sussex. I have worked in museums and galleries nationwide, lectured in Arts Management and Cultural Policy and taught English at secondary level as well as KS2 (7-11yrs) at primary. I now work as a creative practitioner as well as a freelance administrator and design & marketing professional.

When working with art in a public setting the conversation of subjectivity comes up a lot. What I take away from these interactions is that we do all see things differently and that’s a good thing. We all interpret the world in relation to our histories and our present. This is one of the many reasons I love art - we all consume the same ‘thing’, but we all experience these creative results differently. Ways of Seeing is all about exploring and celebrating different responses to art through a range of innovative and creative workshops, challenges and events.
Please do get in touch if you have any questions about the creative workshops listed or if you are interested in developing a bespoke workshop for your event or group.
