Workshop Details

Friday 9th October 2026 10:30-13:30 Rye Castle Museum 3 East Street, Rye TN31 7JY £30 per adult Come to Rye Castle Museum and create some fabulous gel plate prints using the museum’s wonderful pottery collection as your inspiration. This workshop is a carbon copy of the workshop in August - it was so much fun we decided to do it all over again! Participants created some truly fabulous prints and we can't wait to see what the next set of participants produce. Museum staff will be on hand to give you a real insight into the collection, they’ll also be getting pieces out of display cases for you to get fully inspired to create some fabulous gel plate prints. You’ll aim to create up to four stencils to use on the gel plate during the printing part of this workshop. It’ll then be up to you to decide on whether to stick to traditional colours and outlines or go a bit wild in your interpretation - there will be no rules! Shelley, from Ways of Seeing, will be on hand to guide you through the whole process. All materials for this workshop are included in the total price of the workshop. Rye Castle Museum will be closed to the general public when this workshop takes place. The museum is fully accessible.
