Workshop Details

Thursday 28th August 2025, 10:30-14:30 St Mary’s Centre, Rye, TN31 7LB £25 per child (8-15yrs) *See below for discount details when booking two dates. Ways of Seeing & Newo Dance have joined creative forces to provide fun daytime workshops that will be sure to keep the kids entertained (and tire them out!) this August. In the morning there will be two sessions – art with Shelley from Ways of Seeing and dance with Owen from Newo Dance. Then there will be half an hour for lunch (children to bring a packed lunch, no nuts please). We’ll then split the afternoon in the same way. Children will be creating a collaborative piece of art as well as individual artwork to take home. They’ll also be learning some fabulous dance moves – they may even teach you some of them! Ways of Seeing staff and volunteers are checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and our adult to child ratio ensures sufficient support throughout the workshop. Guardians can choose to stay with the attendee/s or leave them to it during this creative workshop. Please ensure you include contact telephone details upon booking. *Discount details: If you book the same child onto both dates in August you are eligible for a £5 discount. Just add both sessions to your 'Creative Basket' and then enter the code GROOVE at checkout. Find the other session on the 'Creative Workshop' page of this website. Each session will have different art activities and dance routines.
